Research

Since several years the Virtual Reality group under Prof. Dr. habil. Andreas Kunz is doing research in the field of virtual reality. In particular, the group is focusing on the development of complete VR-systems, which are adapted to the user and his applications. Thus, the system is in the center of research.

A VR-system consists of hardware, software and application, which are adapted to industrial business processes. In particular, the group's research is focusing on visualization and collaboration systems, haptic interfaces, human-computer interfaces (HCI) as well as on corresponding software.
Another research field within Virtual Reality - the Digital Factory - will apply these system, in particular within factory planning.

The developed systems are continuously tested in education and research, as well as in a close collaboration with industry.
